Well, if youre really smart you would get a trade degree, make decent cash, save it up and start a small business. Boom, in ten years you will make a doctors salary. Money is so easy to achieve in America it is laughable. Thats why everyone comes here to live.

Before you spit on me, understand that half of my friends are very well off and they are illegal.. hows that for a shocker. Ill even tell you what they did. They took my advice when we were in our late teen years. A couple of them went the trucking route.

Example: buy the cheapest apartment you can get. Theres many places that rent for $700-1000. If youre really smart, get Roomates. Youll pay 200 bucks per person in the house. Next get a trade degree like a CDL. Start driving trucks for $50k a year. Put EVERYTHING aside. No fancy cars, tech, no waste on BS that you dont really need to survive. Just buy clothes, food, water, insurance. After 3 years you should have saved up anywhere from 40-80k in cash depending how smart you were with your taxes.

He then used the 80k to buy a new semi truck. It had like no miles on it. He drive coast to coast for the next 4 years making 150-250k a year in earnings. He applied the same strategy from above. Next I advised him to buy a small fleet of trucks, hire dispatchers, get a good deal on company insurance, hire a manager and call it a day. He sits on his ass and his trucks are making him a six figure salary. This has been done a million times in America. Its called the American dream. Start a company.

My route was totally different. I advised him the trucking route because he didnt speak English, and he couldnt go to school. So his options were LIMITED. Figure that... a man with limited options is a Millionare. Only in America.

Friend of mine went through a temp agency and got a position doing data entry (billing) at 15 an hour. Did well enough to get hired in at 25 with a dollar raise every 6 months as long as he kept making quota.

Actually factory jobs are very hard to get. Most of them have unions and they'll hire relatives of workers long before they will hire someone new. Only when the entire family tree of every single employee is already employed do you even have a chance unless you know someone who's got some pull. I worked for years as a security guard at a factory and my application was ignored in favor of children, nieces, and nephews of the factory's supervisors poured in.

But the answer is...Truck Driver.

Truck Driver's get paid well, enough to afford a living including buying health insurance and saving for retirement. Your training is completely paid for, they will give you a signing bonus, and the company pays for your food while you're on the road. No qualifications required.

The downside is you will be on the road a lot.

Thanks for all the info, CE. But I just got great news. I applied for a county position last week and they just hit me back. I meet with them next week holy shit yes get me out of here.

I'm unsure what my job duties will be other than it's in an office. Hopefully they consider me.

Downside (if I land the job) is I will give up my current work from home position. So convenient not having to commute at all and taking breaks in my living room. Also texting on the job lol.
