Yeah but my idea makes it where you would only miss out on 30 minutes of daylight. It's a solid compromise I think and then I don't have to worry about losing an hour of sleep once a year

We shouldn't change anything.

With DST, the sun rises at the end of June where I live at about 4:30am. If DST wasn't a thing, the sun would rise at 3:30am. Fuck that.

Also, if we left DST on all year, the sun wouldn't rise until like 9:00am in December, as opposed to 8:00am without DST in December like it is now.

Changing the time, while totally arbitrary, at least gets all of society on board with adapting our schedules to fit the change in daylight hours.

Personally, i would rather see the sun come up late/midmorning in December then rise very early morning in June and just stay on DST
