Mens Wearhouse wants like $70 for a tie. They wanted $219 for pants today too. I'm tempted to just return it and get my money back because really I an get something pretty similar for a fraction of the price

I get all my ties for free. I just show up all dressed up minus the tie. Someone always says "ohhh you need a tie! Here!" And I put it in my little tie suitcase and move on.

yeah I feel mens wearhouses shtick is they they will slash prices all day every day to get you to buy stuff, so their not on sale stuff feels like you're spending a arm and a leg.

It really entices you to buy when they ring you up for $550 for 2 pants, and then say "but it's buy one get one free so really it's only $235 now!"like their pants are worth more than $50

you can get a bundle of ties on amazon for like 12 bucks that are just as good as the ones they will sell you. Don't be fooled by the "quality" meme. Nobody cares if your tie is made of the finest leather, or every day leather and nobody will know if you don't mention it. Shit I've ordered a bunch of ties on Amazon and get complimented on them like every day lol

Don't do this if you have to be a professional for any reason.

People can instantly tell a lot about you by the quality of your ties (and any other clothes) and a pack of ties sold on Amazon for $12 are going to look noticibly different than a quality item. Not saying men's warehouse is the best but ties, suits, and shoes are not a place to go as cheap as possible if you want people to think highly about the way you look.

I work in a courthouse and it works fine for me. I get complimented on my appearance by people who are in full suits every day. So I guess I'm doing something right. and I dunno how much those ties actually are but they look pretty nice. Actually I need some more ties thanks for reminding me

I think my own fashion sense inadvertently covers up any "cheapness" by not buying $80 dress shirts and $200 shoes. Somehow what I pick out seems to be a fashion hit and I don't wear the usual everyday black/white/navy blue/gray
