I always thought the number of counties here seemed bizarre but I think I know why it happened.
Short answer: white people keep dividing up existing counties to cut off minorities in ghetto counties. The most recent attempt was to split North Fulton off from South Fulton which would have been created Fulton (what would have been South part of Fulton) full of poor black people and Milton (rich white people from North Fulton) Forsyth county didn't bother with that, though. They just had a straight up pogrom and killed all the black people there and the sheriffs endorsed it. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
