I kinda roll my eyes at people who accuse this kind of endorsement for traditional masculinity as being insecure.

It indicates a bit of insecurity because things like this aren't written to make people more manly. They're written to convince people who already do these things that they truly are manly and that society isn't passing them by, even when in some ways it is. It bashes people for wearing skinny jeans and shaving their chest, but some of those men are doing that because it makes them more appealing to women. Same with being clean shaven or not being the kind of defensive person who views every guy who talks to their girlfriend as being a potential threat.

It's so ridiculous.
Victim complex about being a dying breed? Check.
"Wahh, I can't just hit people."
Don't get the hate about shaving your chest. Most women don't have strong opinions on it unless you're in high school.
Also, skinny jeans make your legs and ass look great. Same guys who complain about them probably wear cargo pants.
"I'm a big strong man and I must be a protector and a provider. Fuck women they can't do those things."
"Also, fuck you if you're gay. You're not a manly man."
"If you don't have kids you're not a real man."
Muh beard. Muh boots. Muh steak. Muh knife. Muh gun. What is this, a fucking meme of a man? Why not include bacon too?

I don't think that's indicative of insecurity. It's saying "it's okay for men to be this way and they SHOULD act this way, because it's right and important". And yeah, it does bash the men who shave too much and wear skinny jeans as effeminate.

The post isn't about being more appealing to women, it's expressing what the author thinks men should be like and how society seems to be shitting on that.

And every straight man who talks to your wife or girlfriend is a potential threat. But the emphasis should be on the word "potential".

Personally I don't enjoy having a hairy face/body, *I* find it ugly-looking, don't care what anyone else thinks. Only need to worry about shaving my face though, as nobody is going to be seeing the rest of my body anytime soon.

The rest of the image is irrelevant to me, as I barely have any family left, don't care to ever have a wife and children, and was never interested in owning weapons.

I don't hate his message.

I'm fine with eating meat. Just better conditions for the animals.

Protecting your family. Yes.

I don't really hear words against chest hair, beards, or pants that are bigger than skinny these days. Moot. "Wear your boots" as if people are hating on boots? Nobody does this.

Carry a knife. Fine. Own a gun. That's a big debate, but I'm fine with a mentally stable person owning a handgun and being responsible with it.

Now where the issue comes in is...well, women can do this. Maybe not keep their chest hair and beards, but yeah none of this is really specific to men. And if men aren't this, they aren't men they're betacuckwhatever the fucks. That's where the toxic masculinity complaints came from. That if you aren't x-qualities, you're not a man.

They aren't though, because not everyone who talks to a woman is trying to hook up with them. How weak of a relationship do you have to have that basic dialogue threatens the stability of it? Did you just convince your s.o. that you were the only man alive or something?

this tbh

it isn't aimed towards making feminine men be masculine

it's aimed towards making masculine men feel better about themselves

Keeping animals caged in their own feces and pumped with estrogen+antibiotics until they are pushed onto conveyor belts with shock sticks to watch each other hang upside down bleeding to death is not humane. No wonder eating it gives you low t.

It's more manly to stop being a child that's addicted to their milk diet and finally transition to eating your vegetables like an adult. Train hard to be in shape and eat a more nourishing plant based diet to recover like your Roman gladiator ancestors.

Yeah, sadly, we do kill a lot of animals and herd them together inhumanely. I agree with you on those shady practices. Some smaller farms are not so bad, though.

Im not so sure about giving up milk. I suppose that is not natural to drink cows milk, but at least we get calcium. Hmm, yeah, training hard is good.

Masculinity crosses generations. Masculinity is ingrained biological instinct and inclination. Masculinity compliments femininity. This isn't a 1950's issue.
