Is there any country on Earth where a large portion of the majority population hates their own identity?

Like are there a group of Japanese people who Japanese people etc?

Usually people credit self-hatred to not fitting in, which is supposedly by the majority, for not being the majority.

So where do these self hating leftists come in? I don't get how it makes sense in the survival sense to hate men or white people for literally no reason other than to cater to a very small portion of the country (turbo SJWs)
