So you and your siblings are together. Your siblings are doing something bad that will get you guys in trouble. You don't do nothing bad because you know better. Your siblings lump you with them even though you didn't do anything bad so your parents punishes you all the same. However, instead of blaming your siblings for getting you into trouble, you blame your parents for generalizing you all together.

This is most of our current society. You'd rather blame the people generalizing you with your bad peers than actually blaming your own peers who are speaking behalf of you making you look bad.

FYI I'm not saying generalizing is a good thing either

You in a class room. You ain't do shit but a few of your class mates are acting rowdy as fuck but the teacher decides to punish you all. You get pissy about it so you blame the teacher for lumping yall together instead of blaming those few class mates that was acting rowdy.

To be frank though, I believe I was perfectly justified in blaming my parents in my youth for these things because my brother and I always got scolded together for something only one of us did, yet we held to strict bro code and never dragged the other into it. Didn't matter, everything was the fault of both of us, not just one.

Typical day at D_R's home 20-ish years ago:

Dad: You're so getting pounded today, boys. How dare you play hooky at school?!
Me: Wait, why me, Dad? I'm not the one who skipped school, you know that.
Bro: Yeah, leave him out of this Dad, I'm the one who ran away.
Dad: Doesn't matter. Now, where did I put the rod?
Me: omg whyyyy
Dad: 'Cause you're the older brother, you should've set a better example for him!
Bro: But, Dad, then why'd you yell at me last time when big bro tore up your favorite book-
