Started a game as a demon hunter with my friend as a sorceress. I figured all the mobility would be fun.

Half my skills are variations of the same AOE slow projectile, and somehow my friend is literally face tanking everything. AS A SORCERESS. ON EXPERT. Where's the nuance in our play that's supposed to make us win by being better? Aren't you supposed to kite enemies as squishy ranged characters if you don't have a tank?

I guess they made it so you just breeze through the story mode so you can finally join the rat race infinite farm mode which people consider "fun"?

You have total control over the difficulty. Words like expert and hard can be misleading. Just replace it with a number scale in your mind and tune it accordingly.

Melee oriented characters have a natural 30% damage reduction I believe, so wizard and hunter will indeed be squishier. However with the right setup and skills a wizard can indeed become a tank. All depends on your build.

The base game was always boring. Most of the quality of life improvements have been made in support of the torment system.

Not sure that's a good thing.

I guess we'll up the difficulty again though.

Yeah, raise the difficulty. A) You get better and more drops and B) You'll get to a point where you're getting one shotted

It's a loot treadmill game what do you expect >_>

That's another peeve of mine with ARPG games like this. There's very little middle ground between "fall asleep easy" and "literally everything one shots you no matter what so defensive stats don't matter."

D2 was fun and crisp. This felt like slathering butter on a toast for hours. Sure it works, but it wasn't exactly a satisfying challengeCOVxy posted...

I love it at end game. You can be a Barbarian who 24/7 Whirlwinds at super fast speeds. Clear a rift in under 2 minutes without every stopping.

I'm currently playing a pet Necromancer for Season 13 and I'm having a blast pushing Greater Rifts. I was bored leveling up since you don't get to mess around with sets or have all of your abilities yet.

I'm rocking a DMO Frozen Orb build wizard right now. really fun to play. slow time literally everything and casually walk around projectiles it's fantastic.

I made an adjustment to the Icv Veins build that replaces the cube in the boots with the helm that gives slow time every rune and it fucking owns.

D3 plays better than most ARPGs. The boredom is that unlike most other games, you don't have 734,462 separate skill trees, xp bars, and faction reps you are grinding for. Less dopamine crack to keep you goi9ng.
