They put a lot of effort into making the games artistically unique, mechanically tight, and most important of all, fun and replayable even though they're all platformers at their core. Also they don't release them on a yearly schedule like the CoDs or the BBs, or whatever. The games may get old, but they're never bad. --- Whatever happened to standards? I have no idea, it was so awful to me I never even went to see the online discussions of it. 3D land is the only Mario game I played that I didn't enjoy at all in. The entire time I was thinking "this is really dull, I wonder when the good levels are gonna pop up?" all the way past the true final boss and it never did. There was just so little content, it was like a mobile game which I guess because it was one of the first 3DS games Nintendo didn't know if it would turn out well so they decided to play it as safe as possible.
