I did. It was such an underappreciated device.

I feel like if Nintendo had introduced it a few years earlier and marketed it aggressively, it would've been huge.

I can only imagine the hand cramping and squinting necessary to play the thing.

I had a girlfriend who had one.

It was awful for me, and I don't consider myself to have "big hands".

It was a lovely device, the screen was actually backlit unlike the SP which was frontlit (apart from one late model).

I guess if you have giant polar bear hands it might be uncomfortable, but tbqh the setup of how you to hold your hands around it wasn't all that different from the GBA SP. Hell it was actually wider than the SP.
Either way, the Micro was stylish AF. Swappable faceplates was ahead of its time, and it had a beautiful screen that looked surprisingly nice/crisp despite the size. Overall it was just a really nice, sleek design that never had a chance to take off.

It was just a show of "Look how small we can make it!" Which is why it was introduced so late as a "limited run". It was never intended to be some hit piece of hardware.

It was stupid. Why would you want a gba with a smaller screen then the regular gba? Plus it couldn't play old gb and gbc games. I got a gba sp 2 instead. The one with the backlit screen.

Definitely the best designed Game Boy of all time. But yeah, it was a pointless investment by Nintendo; did they seriously think anyone would bother with another GBA when DSes were all the rage? lol

The screen wasn't smaller, iirc.

Micro had the best screen resolution out of all Game Boys.

The major issue is that it's not backwards compatible. I understand why it's not, but the normal GBA and SP are better.

The only true advantage the Micro had over the backlit SP was having an actual headphone jack instead of needing a dongle to use headphones.

And extreme portability

Nintendo has always been ocd about releasing multiple versions of handhelds.

I've got one sitting in my drawer, ha. Can't play it much cause the small screen makes my eyes bleed, but the buttons and backlight are niiice.
