My friend self published a comic book in high school back in the 90's, and one of his characters was Boba Fettish. He later got a job working as an animator for Nickelodeon.

Depends on where you live and what kinks and groups you are looking at.
Portland, OR? There's tons of events around here and a handful are so legit that there's dress codes and cover fees and everything except for single girls, and the only people allowed through had to pass a community check type of thing where others who are already approved can vouch for you. try finding a munch (its a more casual meet up type of thing) typically no dress code and a no play policy .. held in a pub/bar
