Depends on where you live, your standard of living, how much of your gross went into pre-tax contributions (such as a 401(k)). Assuming California, that's about 50k gross, which is a fairly average household income. If you have a spouse who also earns that much, that's 100k total for one household, which is not bad if you're fine with working for at least a couple more decades.

Depends one what you mean by "net".
Net as in after rent/mortgage/food/internet/car insurance/utilities/ taxes: Yes that is very good money. Net as in after taxes? Meh. Really depends on your circumstances. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Good for a single person in a state with reasonable cost of living. Probably shitty for a family of four with no other income earners in an expensive place like california or new york. --- And as her clothes all tumbled 'round her, I could hear my heart The moonlight shown upon her as she lay back in my bed ... That's a couple thousand below the average income for single filers in the US. So basically average in the US, but extremely well off in terms of the world population.
Your mileage is obviously going to vary depending on where you live though. --- BKSheikah owned me so thoroughly in the 2017 guru contest, I'd swear he used the Lens of Truth to pick his bracket. (thengamer.com/guru) ... Copied to Clipboard!

$100K is middle class in California. Anything below that is considered poverty. Even in California, it depends on where you live. There are still suburbs where you can buy plenty of space with a $300K mortgage. You might have to commute 3 hours to your job each way, but there's at least some housing supply in the desert. Of course, a million dollars in a coastal city will get you a 1BR condo with no yard or a dilapidated mobile home on a small plot of land. --- BKSheikah owned me so thoroughly in the 2017 guru contest, I'd swear he used the Lens of Truth to pick his bracket.
