My guess is that the guy is (rightfully) angry at this situation and is just venting. Now if CE could not be dickheads for a moment, he might get some solid advice.

To be honest I am ridiculously drunk and venting but I feel like I am in the same boat as a lot of Americans in feeling rage towards the heroin epidemic. I actually am an Afghanistan and Iraq war veteran and I am disgusted knowing that most heroin comes out of Afghanistan and that we basically allowed the production to continue because it was convenient while at the same time my sister was an addict back in the states without me knowing it.

Imagine that mind fuck. My sister called me up asking me for money because living in Hawaii is SOOOO expensive while I am deployed to Afghanistan and then I come back and she is some strung out addict weighing about 80 pounds. And this shit is forever. 5 years later she is still alternating between being "OK" and begging me for money for another hit depending on the month. Fuck my life.

How about supporting her and helping her go to rehab.

You know, fighting the actual problem (addiction) and not her dealer.

She went to rehab twice. I thought this shit was done and this past week years later I get a call from her sounding all fucked up begging me for more money and I call my parents and they tell me that she has fallen off the wagon and is back to her old ways. Years later. What the fuck am I supposed to feel about this.

On of my aunt is a drug addicts for the better part of two decades. I hope she kicks the bucket. She is just a nasty person with alot of hate in her heart, and fucked up so many lives and been nothing but a leech.

I'm in the same situation with my youngest sister. She refuses to go to treatment, thinking she can kick the habit on her own. I don't even recognize her anymore. I'm thinking of getting a civil commitment to get her into treatment before she ends up dead.

Unless she wants help, she will only become hostile towards her brother.

You can force her to get help, it is underhanded, and will be rather humiliating and/or public. If you know where her dealing hangs out, and what times she usually goes to him, time an anonymous phone call to the cops about a deal in progress so they show up just as she is buying. First time offense is usually probation, community service, if she agrees to rehab. Tell her to take the deal. She gets clean, happy ending. But never tell her, she would probably never forgive you.
