I had my fair share of MRE's when I served, and the thought of eating chili mac ever again turns my stomach.

I agree with you though, I worked for Kroger for 7 years, I had customers come through line buying steaks and crab legs with their $900 EBT balance on their card, talking on their expensive new cell phone and having an expensive name brand purse over their shoulder.

The system is abused, and people who really don't need it know how to milk the system and get it anyway. I'd love to not spend a penny on food monthly, but I can afford groceries, and wouldn't even consider trying to get government assistance. I know and have seen people who make more money than I do, live in a better situation and still can get food stamps.

There needs to be a change, because money is getting thrown around senselessly. I'm all for it for families that absolutely need it and legitimately are struggling, but not these well dressed, name brand wearing assholes that found loopholes to get themselves free food monthly.

Poor people don't get to decide what they do with their money
Nevermind that looking the part is half of gaining acceptance by society, having better clothes gets you better jobs, etc
