I only played on the regular difficulty before they put the new modes in and it was pretty fun, but you can get the strongest animals like 5 hours in so a lot of the challenge goes away. Not much reason to be afraid of wolves if you're riding around on a grizzly bear

If you've played 4, you can get it cheap now and if you just treat it as DLC for 4 the it's enjoyable.

If your open to the setting of the stone age and like FC 3 or 4 then you will likely enjoy FC Primal.
