I'm just wondering this because a lot of guys set their standards here. Apparently, this is big enough of a deal for some people. But does being overweight ruin a woman's dateability that much? Are they really at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to dating, or are people simply being unrealistic?

A little bit of chubby can be cute and isn't an issue. But like majorly overweight and big and unhealthy is an absolute dealbreaker.

The major thing I think about usually is that what I'm looking at is the midpoint in a slide towards oblivion. I honestly find women of a lot of weights attractive until it hits a truly horrifying level. But the fear is that it will hit a truly horrifying level and what I'm seeing is just the top of the slide.

I'm ten pounds or so overweight so no. Even if I was fit I'd probably be fine with a little over.

second girlfriend to be fair was quite fat when I met her (we're talking at least 260 pounds) and that wasn't a deal breaker. but then she got real comfortable in the relationship and after like a year ended up in the 300 zone which was the straw that broke the camels back for me. It's not so much the weight itself that puts me off, but the awful eating habits that fat people tend to have (larger portions, awful food, eat more often) that I find real disgusting.

When we meet, it depends... Within reason, I honestly don't care and would take somebody 20lbs overweight over somebody underweight. As a general rule though, people tend to only get fatter in a relationship, so you want to start off with a reasonable baseline.

If a girl is thicc, but she's pretty and has a good personality, I'd date her. But my girl has an average body type, not fat or thicc.

Idk, I just feel that so many women are dishonest about their weight that I wouldnt really know... Those WWE chicks claim theyre WAY smaller than they really are.

Charlotte Flair claims to be 144 pounds, which is basically my exact size. Theyre NO WAY shes 144 pounds.

I like taller women. At 5'10 (best height for a woman) anything below 200 can still look ok. Preferably under 180.

At like 5'6", about 170 is ceiling, 150 and below is preferred.

But eating habits are important as you are closer to the ceiling.

They are for most guys, myself included.

It's not just about vanity for me. Though I'm not going to lie and say that isn't also part of it. When I see someone who is overweight and out of shape I see someone who doesn't care about taking care of themselves. I see someone who isn't going to be able to keep up during physical things I would want to do with a partner like hiking.

Sorry, but that's just blunt truth. I'm not telling you that you have to change or be ashamed of yourself. But I'm just not interested.
