Several well-known online dictionaries define "family values" as the following:

"the moral and ethical principles traditionally upheld and passed on within a family, as honesty, loyalty, industry, and faith."[1]
"values especially of a traditional or conservative kind which are held to promote the sound functioning of the family and to strengthen the fabric of society."[2]
"values held to be traditionally learned or reinforced within a family, such as those of high moral standards and discipline."[3]

Yeah unless those values involve needless judgment. Plenty of family values are not exactly positive, since a good number are based on tradition and a type of societal peer pressure.

I care about some of the values themselves, but I don't think they should only be "Family Values" It should just be "Societal Values."

Not in that context. In my mind, that means sticking to your genetic family no matter what. I have some really, really shitty family members who I wouldn't waste my time with for a minute. I also have some non-related people in my life that I'd do anything for. I believe in loyalty to those that earn it and general compassion for all humanity whenever possible, but I think that I will always prioritize people in my life that I choose to be close to, and not the ones that are 'close' simply by the accident of birth.

Honestly, I don't care if other people are pieces of shit as long as they're not hurting anyone.

This stuff often becomes homophobic, racist, prudish, ignorant or sexist so probably not.

If it's just about having a strong family bond then yes. But sticking to stubborn, conservative beliefs because of 'family values' no.

I mean, I have a family, so C. Really don't care about the "faith" part, though.

Never really cared about it until about a year or two ago.

That's one definition of family values, but yeah I don't subscribe to that aspect myself.
