Oddly enough, both participated in JROTC

one was a kleptomaniac that kept drawing stuff on himself and had a fascination with guns.

The other one actually had real mental issues but he often talked about killing people and hurting his friends. He actually ended up getting shot and killed by police because he was carrying two guns down a street and didnt put them down.

I've known someone in high school who was a wannabe JROTC kid (we didn't have the program) and he was caught a year after graduation with a room full of IEDs and guns. Only got like a year prison time. I ran into him at a strip club my senior year. Kid was weird as fuck.

There was a kid I hung outwithcause I thought I could save him. He was super socially awkward and always seemed depressed. But once he started coming over with a bag of random pills and just grabbing 5+ out the bag and throwing em down I knew it was a lost cause

When I was in middle school, there was a troubled weird kid that I've been thinking a lot about since the Florida shooting. I remember once in science class, he stood up and flipped over his desk while shouting that he was going to kill us. Administrators came and took him away, and he was suspended for quite some time but he wasn't expelled.

At the time I didn't think anything of it, but in today's climate I would have been a little concerned he was going to come back with a gun.

Eh, I dont like doing that kind of thing. Ill never really believe someone I know or knew would do something like that. Then again, my schools were generally not too high in the bullying department, besides maybe middle school.

I knew one kid in elementary school who praised 9/11, he was a recent immigrant from Pakistan, seemed pretty crazy to me

Maybe a few kids, but not many. Being from a diverse inner city, it was more likely someone would shoot someone for something gang related than someone just shooting up the school.
