I've read that you can make topics about emulators and discuss it in general and there is nothing wrong with that. But i think that talk of illegal downloading and shit, this site is much tougher on that shit than emulators. Do you agree?

Generally, I believe you can discuss emulators and even romhacks (as in "I saw a video of a romhack where blah blah happened") but not stuff like where to get roms.

I generally avoid discussion altogether because first of all I don't really use them and second it's easier to not have to worry about exactly the question posted ITT.

Just go to reddit if you don't like the rules. There is probably a sub for it. They have one for a lot of things like news, sports, etc.

The rules on that aspect have been downsized a bit now from what i know.

I do believe you can talk about emulators as long as you dont refer to piracy

And you can also mention romhacks now (and i think translations) as long as its the game content itself, and not the rom bit...
