The war on porn is about as futile as the war on drugs.

Ultimately I think its easy to be addicted and have it derail your life

Porn addiction isn't a real thing.

It is something made up by religious extremist groups in an attempt to censor porn. By creating a false narrative that porn is addictive and harmful, it gives them another angle to attack it instead of the usual "because Jesus says so" argument.

All "porn addicts" are self diagnosed and the mere suggestion that an addiction is possible causes them to second guess their behaviors. The fact remains however, that the American Psychiatric Association does not recognize porn addiction as a real diagnosis. "Porn addiction" is a completely fabricated concept, and anyone who promotes it has ulterior motives and is trying to push an anti-sex, pro-censorship, religious agenda. Don't be fooled.

No it is I know people who struggled with it and dialled it down or went cold turkey to save their marriages, I toned it down because I didnt like the compulsion or desensitisation. I know what the agenda is I dont care about any of that stuff or morality I care about control.

I do think that porn addiction is a real thing, but it's an addiction like any other addiction. Too much of something is bad for you, just practice moderation. When I was younger I would masturbate daily, only to realize the sensation feeling I had when I was younger did last as long because I couldn't produce enough sperm. So I waited in increments of 3 days before wacking off and bam, it almost felt just as good as the first time I masturbated.

With that said, ever since I got married, I haven't wacked off in a while because we have great protected sex (though I'm pretty sure my wife is jacking off to those Erotica novels she buys from Amazon).

There is no porn addiction. If you keep beating meat to porn stars and it is pissing your wife off, that is called lack of self control on your part--not an actual psychiatric diagnosis.

The word "addiction" has become meaningless. People just use it as an excuse for lack of self control. "Porn Addiction" is no different than "Soda Addiction". Both are BS.

Didnt you try to pigeonhole it as a purely religious construct.

The term "porn addiction" was invented by religious extremists, not psychiatrists, yes.
