I am liking Stocke a lot more than one would expect from the usual Stoic protagonist.

Cool gameplay and story ideas and great OST,

I played the demo and dropped it before an hour had gone by because I couldn't stand how the voicing and portrait expression choices made it feel like they completely changed the tone of the story and characterization compared to the script alone in the DS version

Stocke only starts out stoic, he actually gets really invested later in.

Also, make sure you read a guide for the true ending. the true ending is SOOOOO FUCKING GOOD.

I mean, technically, as long as you do every single node, you'll get the true ending, and there is a counter letting you know how many nodes you've got left, so you don't absolutely need a guide, but technically only a few of the nodes are required.

To do all the nodes you have to also perform all the failure events where you make a decision and the decision immediately destroys the world.

lol my favourite bad ending was when you decide to ditch saving the world to be with Raynie and those two kids were like "the fuck did you think would happen, asshole?"

My favorite one because of how random it was is the one where

(Cronut sidequest) The guy asks you for a Cronut and when you go back to him with the instructions on how to farm them he says they're probably going to be used to make weapons to win the war. Then if you just give it to him, he goes "THANKS!" you get an elixir, then everyone is crushed by giant robots and the world ends.

The kids were like "that is literally the worst idea I've ever seen and I've seen a lot"
