I don't feel any interest in most of what people talk about. I want to discuss cool, academic and philosophical things. But whenever I try to talk about them, they're the ones who don't care.

That's why I don't like people.

Stop looking inwards during conversations and focus outwards. Actually listen to what people are saying, read their emotions in their eyes, far too many people wait for the other person to finish speaking so they can retake control and go off on some dumb bullshit about their own lives. That is not an effective conversation. Act like people know things you do not that can provide valuable insight because that is the truth.

I have always been a smug asshole, I always assumed that I knew everything because I was objectively intelligent. It's true that I was smart academically but it took me my entire life to realize I don't actually know dick about fuckall. When you're a condescending prick you disregard alternative viewpoints and interesting and unfamiliar things because you assume you know everything. That only makes you weaker.
