Maybe they're organic robots.

They were robots at one time and then through observation of wildlife they came to understand the advantages of organic matter and began to use cloning to develop new body parts that could be controlled electrically. Over time, they slowly began to change their power source to an internal chemical system fueled by other organic matter and even began to offload computing power to organic components until they were eventually indistinguishable from organic lifeforms.

And maybe we were one of their prototyoes.

But enough about 2004 Battlestar Galactica.

Ha, did they do that? I've never seen the show. I just made that up off the top of my head to be absurd.

Basically. The Cylons, originally being entirely metallic, began producing organic/human Cylons that would slowly replace the metallic versions. These new Cylons were virtually indistinguishable from humans.

Fusion Rockets can go to Alpha Centauri in 36 years.
A laser sail with a sail that is 320 km (200 miles) in diameter would need just over 12 years. Meanwhile, a sail measuring about 965 km (600 miles) in diameter would arrive in just under 9 years.
An antimatter engine would need 8 years.
The Alcubierre Warp Bubble can do it in less than 4 years

This is technology from quite far into the future, fam.

Which an more advanced civilization might have, right?

Dude, watch it. It's fucking amazing. Pretty sure it's still on Hulu.

I agree with this guy. Still my all-time favorite Sci-Fi series.

Sure. But there aren't so many stars that are even nearly as close as Alpha Centauri :)

The first link is pretty vague. It claims that only a few of the metals listed are know to man, then later says they haven't been able to be translated. Even reference to flying ships is not good evidence that aliens have visited us. If you think It is, you should believe the texts that say a man in they say turned people into pillars of salt.
Just because something kind of looks like a spaceship, doesn't mean it is. The human brain is great at finding patterns, even ones that aren't there. I'm not saying any of this disproves anything, just that it really isn't credible evidence.
