Got rid of my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and picked up an iPhone 8 Plus

I really missed my iPhone.

On Geekbench scores or whatever the OS is powerful, but IMO it just is not as good as iOS for a mobile phone. Honestly I know you can do all kinds of cool root things with it, but at the end of the day the iPhone runs apps better, and that's what it boils down to in mobile.

There are advantages to having built in Google stuff to your phone, but IMO unless you're on a Pixel (I was on a Samsung) it's going to be bogged down by the bloat of the phone manufacturer's version of the OS.

Google Play Music ran like shit on my Samsung Galaxy for example, while Apple Music runs flawlessly on my iPhone 8 Plus.

Don't know what this alleged "bloat" is that supposedly slows down my Galaxy S8+, which runs flawlessly. This after 8 years of iPhones.

But hey, you like what you like.

Plus it's bullshit that I didn't get Android Oreo at all on the phone and it's almost March....

Looks like Samsung is rolling Oreo out now in various markets, but it's yet to arrive in the US. Doesn't personally bother me at all since there's nothing wrong with my version of Nougat and I get the monthly security patches anyway. Others may feel different.

Let's just say I wasn't the guy who camped out at an Apple store when a new iPhone is released.
