How much longer before people over the age of 60 have to take a yearly test to decide whether they should be allowed to drive? Shit needs to be done already. That's not to mention that nobody should really be allowed to drive an RV with a regular license.

As long as people have fingers, hands, and limbs, they will drive a car regardless of what the law says.

And they'll go to jail when caught. It won't stop everyone but it'll stop a huge chunk.

60 is a bit too early, but I'm definitely in favor of yearly tests after age 70.

You didn't even read your own article, did you. Literally in the first paragraph:

and records show he recently passed a re-examination in his home state of Michigan that allowed him to keep his drivers license.

60 may be too early, that's true. It usually depends on the person. Some age well, some don't. 70 is fair too. Maybe 65.

how the fuck do you even get on the wrong side of the highway? I'd have to try really hard to do that with the way on ramps work around here. I dunno about the rest of the country

America doesnt require elderly people to have a yearly test for driving?

That sounds like something that would be true only in Somalia

He said the re-examination determined Roney had an acceptable medical condition. Woodhams declined to specify what the condition was, citing privacy laws, and could not say what tests Roney was given.

Let me rephrase: a test that actually requires skill to pass. They most likely checked if the man was breathing and passed him. Driving tests are a joke almost across the board. They last maybe 5 minutes and require you to do very basic things.
