She's an angel

So mature for a Junior. She may need to add some more complex jumps to compete with Trusova or Scherbakova on a technical level, but her artistry is above and beyond and makes up in PCS. She reminds me of Evgenia in that regard. I saw a video of her recent practice and she already has a clean triple axel down. She wants to add a quad into her program.

Huge news today. Reports are coming out saying Evgenia is leaving Eteri's camp. She may stay at Sambo-70, but under a different coach.

Now rumours have it that she may head to Toronto to train under Brian Orser. Zhenya and Yuzuru Hanyu could be training together! It's been speculated that she has a crush on Yuzu

Supposedly there will be an official announcement tomorrow. Whatever happens, I wish her the best. It's so strange; she seemed to be Eteri's favourite. Perhaps she wanted to get away from the inner competition with Alina? If Evgenia stays dominant, at least the Russian talent pool won't be as stuffed with Eteri skaters. I enjoy watching Maria Sotskova for that reason.

I am personally happy for Zhenya. Hopefully she didn't mean those words she said about keeping Alina a junior. But overall Eteri skaters, while insanely talented, seem to have short careers. All eyes are already on Trusova now, after all. Hopefully this change will give Zhenya some staying power.

Eteri is good at producing talent, but she is not so great a leader. By that I mean the way she pushes her students mentally.

I just hope my Alena will end up okay

I'm team Russia, so I mostly focus on Russian skaters, but I haven't been keeping up much with juniors outside that. I mentioned Alexandra Trusova before; I truly think she could be the next big thing. My favourite, however, is Alena Kostornaya. Not as technical with the jumps, but her artistry is among the best, seniors included. There's also Anna Scherbakova and Anastasia Tarakanova to watch out for.

Sorry I haven't been posting much. Being the off season, there isn't much to talk about

The ISU is working on new rulings.

The first limiting the bonus on jumps in the second half of programs. Skaters will the bonus on their last jump in the SP, and their last 3 in the FS. This is in an effort to prevent backloading programs. Not a terrible compromise.

They also rejected the proposal to raise the age limit for qualifying seniors. This is good imo; I feel like there are already juniors being held back as it is *cough*Alena*cough*

Another one they are considering is limiting quads to one per type of jump in a program. This is stupid, and I hope it doesn't pass.

sucks for the old girls but yeah most skaters excel at a young age cause of their smaller frames.
