Never understood what was so different about the Chinese new year, since they are the only country that does that. In the American new year it's January 1st which makes more sense than some random time after that SMH

You actually have it backwards there. Chinese New Year was yet another thing western religions "adopted" and changed.

Chinese New Year is based on the lunar calendar. "Lunar new year" is also celebrated by other Asian countries such as Korea, Japan and YOUR MOM LMAO!
