They're all the same. I've played the first 2 (GCN and DS) and I can't see a reason to play anymore.

they add new features and items and shit every game
personally though I think the series took a wrong turn after the original, the HHD spin-off which is basically just a virtual dollhouse is honestly the only one since that seems to know what it wanted to be ... Copied to Clipboard!

focuses too much on expanding on the customization side, not enough on the life sim side which hasn't really grown much past the original, and considering a big hook of it was how the game world changes whether you're playing or not it's disappointing that they've never tried to seriously expand on that especially when it wasn't that in-depth to begin with
I also feel the whole customization side clashes with the general game structure, which is why I like HHD, because it cuts the bullshit there and just lets you go as crazy as you want with it down to even being able to dress up the animals and pose them around the homes and facilities you make as you wish, but of course then people dislike it for not having any of the life sim elements that I feel the series hasn't really tried to refine at all 'least, that's how I feel ... The subject at hand pertains to many games.
In regards to this I thoroughly enjoyed the original on Gamecube, and City Folk. While City Folk added many new features (most brought over from Wild World), it also took many away, and I was disappointed. Either way there were many times I couldn't put it down. For now I'm skipping New Leaf in favor of the next console title. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
