I'm worried. Movies imagined from the outset as needing images of violence or discussing sexually explicit topics are less common than I would like. Not every R rated film is a Tarantino or Fincher. Deadpool itself largely only worked because of the lead actor's talent with similar roles in movies like Van Wilder. Without that vision you can easily end up in pointless eye-rolling edginess like Wanted or that animated adaptation of the Killing Joke.

a venom origin movie that doesn't have spiderman in it, and they throw in carnage right off the bat makes no sense. Carnage showed up years later. he wasn't involved in Venom's origin. and Venom's origin is directly tied in with spiderman. this is as stupid an idea as the catwoman movie.
