I once got modded for spoilers for saying that at the end of the original Planet of the Apes movies they find the statue of liberty.

I still get crazy salty. What's the expiry date on spoilers especially one that's that well know. He'll, you don't get modded for saying Vader is Luke and Leia's father. Because everybody knows that shit.

It actually got overturned by a lead, but it took like two weeks so I still had to pay the three day warn penalty

Got suspended or whatever for a few months for simply saying a girl might have started a fight. This was right as the Trayvon martin thing happened and it was 100% okay to say he started the fight but for some reason just simply mentioning a girl possibly starting a fight is worth a few month suspension.

All of those seem a little creepy/gross to me. Except @DuranOfForcena. Calling out trolls shouldn't be moddable.
Also, I guess being "creepy/gross" isn't really a moddable offense either.

I get it. Venting and expressing outrage at horrible shit shouldn't get you in trouble. But I can see the mods point of view on it, with the history of violent/extreme users this board has had.

Weird. I'm sure there's context I'm missing, but tempers definitely got high during that time. Everyone either walked on eggshells when discussing it or got modded.

I was once modded for saying the name of a cosplayer who had some visible nipples if you googled her name with safe search off, found her website and dug deep into the gallery. I didn't post any links, just her name, and only because someone asked. This was like 10 years ago but I'll never forget that BS.

The only reason it isn't considered a spoiler now is because it was used in promotional material for the prequel trilogy...

Exactly. Not to mention the thousands of pop culture references to it in various tv shows and other movies.
Phantom Menace came out in 99. The originals came out in the early 80s.
No matter what, that's beyond spoiler territory imo.
