I suppose. Right now, I'm not feeling the characterization and felt the slower pacing of '03 worked a bit better.

Also, Ed seems a lot more whiny in this one. I haven't completely given up on it, yet. It's still pretty decent and at the very least, it's funny.

I had the same problem about the pacing. Since everything in the beginning was already done in the 03 version, they just went through it kinda quickly. But once you get past that part, the pacing starts going more slowly.

Ugh, now I need to watch Brotherhood again. It's soo good!

How many episodes are you in?

Also, Brotherhood immediately after '03 might just be to much for now. You could always take a break from FMA, whatch another show and then come back to it.

I'm on episode 5 of Brotherhood now. It's possible I might be oversaturating, but I don't think so.

My brain's still fully on-board the FMA hype train.

Brotherhood picks up a lot since stuff starts going down more. Around...idk maybe episode 9 or 10 you shouldn't feel it's slow or underwhelming.

I know it isn't. Doesn't make it worse.

I started off with the manga in middle school, but never really got to watch more than a couple episodes of the anime and a Brotherhood dvd from the library.

It automatically makes it better since original source is always better. Only issue I had with Brotherhood is they cut out the entire 2nd arc instead of redoing it like they did with the other arcs.
