Have you? Did you read this story about a black man from iowa who says he was racially...

.....profiled at old navy and the surv. tape proved he wore the jacket into the store.

Big stores ,must have ones that prove to be false all the time, i wonder what they usually do.

Actually, yeah, in a weird way. I was in high school at the time. Our house got a call from some pissed off manager or owner of a local 7-11. He was yelling at me over the phone, accusing me of shoplifting. He claimed to have it all on video.

It was weird since I hadn't been to 7-11 in a few days, and I knew it wasn't me. I have no idea how he got our number. Someone must've given it to him. I asked him what kind of shoes the guy in the video was wearing, and I think he said something like "Nike."

I told him I wear Converse, and I told him to go fuck himself and hung up. Nothing ever happened.

yep. happened once. I wasn't even a kid. I was like in my late 20's when this happened. I went into a gas station to look for something and they didn't have it. I walked in, noticed the worker was in the backroom, scanned all the store and decided it wasnt there and walked out. as I was walking out, the worker came back into the front by the counter. and then I left and was walking away from the store when I heard someone calling at me. turned around and the guy said "ok what did you take"? I said I didn't know what he talking about and he told me to show my my pockets. I showed him everything in my pockets and he said "come on maaaaaan....." and went back inside. if i could do it again I would tell him to go fuck himself when he demanded I empty my pockets. he had no right to accuse me when I did nothing. when he went back inside he probably checked the security tape and was pissed off when it just showed me walked around for like 30 seconds.

No, but I do think that growing up I was targeted by elementary school teachers and daycare women, like many seemed to have it out for me from the beginning.

I have a guy that comes in regularly and gives off weird vibes like he wants you to think he is stealing. Like it's hard to explain almost. He waits until you look at him and then he'll do really shady stuff. I'm pretty convinced at this point he's coming in just to waste everybody's time or he does it for the attention

Also to answer the OP, yes I have. I went into a dollar general wearing a black beanie and the woman accused me of stealing. I had to point out that the beanie had my dad's company logo on it and they don't sell them to the public, most certainly not to dollar general. She backed off after that

Maybe he's waiting to be falsely accused so he can whip out his phone and start filming vertically while screaming "AM I BEING DETAINED??"

oh I also once got accused of being a peeping tom. I was trying to find my mom who I knew was trying on clothes. I was scanning the bottoms of the changing rooms for the feet to see my mom's shoes. I was like 20 feet away from the changing rooms and literally was physically impossible for me to see anything but feet. its not like I was up against the doors looking under. but someone approached me and took me into a security room and some lady glared at me when I came in. and they asked me why I was looking at feet and I told them but they didn't believe me. they thought I was using some alien eye ability and seeing stuff I couldnt see to peek on women.

but they couldn't prove it and for some reason they didn't want to just let me go. I think they wanted to talk to my mom. so they called her on the intercom. but it turned out she had left already. she thought I was walking home or something and couldn't find me and gave up and left the store. so she didn't hear it. they finally let me go and I walked home. luckily this store was only about a mile or 2 from my house. I was a little mad at my mom for just leaving. the whole thing pissed me off. this was before we had cell phones.

Lol Dawkins. But Yea I've thought about this scenario too actually, like he'd make a big scene out of it and try to sue the company or something. I've instructed my team to ignore him. He still comes in though so idk

A lot of places you aren't allowed to accuse someone of shoplifting. I hope you called the manager and told him how an employee falsely accused you of shoplifting.
