Relatives from Asia called my mom up wondering when the hell I'm going to get a wife and some kids at 30 years old. My mom doesn't know and then they requested to speak to me via Skype. They told me that I should have my own family by now and that I'll be a disgrace if I end up like my uncle (single, drunk, and broke).

"Go on.... find a wife... settle for a few kids.... no one is going to take care of you when you get older"

I told them that I've been in several relationships and they've never worked out. Then someone passed the cam to my aunt who said "WELL, KEEP LOOKING! Jesus fucking christ!"

At that point I was just angry and told them that I'm going to enjoy my life the way i want and not live my life like them (jobless mother, lots of kids to feed, father is working slavery low wage contract jobs to feed their 5+ kids with 2 cups of rice and soy sauce once a day).

Fuck that shit. I want to be financially responsible and I don't need a woman to tell me that we need to be at a birthday or baby shower party on my only day off a week. They don't realize that once you get married in america, there's no turning back. You've basically handed yourself as an asset to the state and will sue the shit out of you if either party divorces. Not only that, but the state will side with the woman who has the right to a portion of your annual income.

So fuck getting married and getting your own fam.

Well in a lot of foreign countries that hold traditional values, you become shunned or an outcast if you're still si bff le with no kids at a certain age. You get all sorts of pressure from relatives and friends and then you get a gf and kid then later on you realize what a big mistake it was and you regret it.
