Basically the part you put the jack into broke, as I found out when I took the casing off. What's the best alternative? Should I just get a USB Splicer with two ports at the top for the microphone and headphone jack? Is it even worth trying to fix the Jack itself?

Is the jack itself connected to the motherboard? Or is it attached to the case?

I think it's attached to the case. You take the front of the case off and you see the USB ports, the Jacks, and a USB 3 port.

If it's the headphone jack built into the motherboard then you're SOL. Just install a dedicated sound card. It'll sound better anyway.

Edit: Pics would help us understand the setup better TC.

If it's attached to the case, you should be able to just replace the panel (it's likely also attached the USB ports). Most cases use one of a handful of combinations that can be re-ordered. Something like this:

Worst case, you can get an integrated headphone/USB panel and put it into one of the drive bays (like where the CD-ROM drive would have been). Like this:

This is fantastic. I appreciate this Admiral. Both of those are exactly what I might potentially need.

If you're not using all of the front drive bays, it actually is really useful. Especially all the card readers.

Cheapest solution would be to get a 3.5mm extension cable and plug it into you back headphone port.

You guys have been an awesome help. Thank you so much. It just happened last night, where part of the plastic on the port cracked so I can't even put the headphone jack in. Now I can get back to school work! You guys rock.

I'm so far behind on home desktop tech. Just got a desktop back in November which is first desktop I've had since 2009.
