I dislike Apple as a company and I don't want to give them any more money, but I have to admit Macs are simply better in a number of ways that makes them a dealmaker for most people, if they can afford it. I'm a PC guy, but you spend so much goddamn time customizing and fixing and patching your PC. Yes, you get more hardware for less money, and you get more freedom to use the product as you see fit, but on the other hand, it's a constant battle with bugs and issues and unpredictability. In all the time I've used macs (mainly for work, or other people's) I've never really ran into any major issues beyond trying to relearn the UI. You turn it on and it boots up instantly and everything runs predictably and quickly. It's a setpiece. I see the appeal but I balk at the pricetag and the lack of game support.
