Have NO idea what for. They apparently knocked at my door when I wasn't home and left a card saying "I have court documents for ______" then please call this number for re-delivery.

Just called and she's delivering them in like 20 minutes. I have NO idea what for. Should I be worried?

This sounds like a scam of some sort.

The card had a logo for "K . D . S" then "Kathy's Delivery Service" under it. Googling it, I found no info for it.

Dont accept the papers.

This person sounds like a process server. If that is the case, as soon as you accept them, a countdown starts on what you can do about it.

Take the time to find out what is going on first. Its most likely about a car accident or a large debt.

Once youve figured out what it most likely concerns, contact a lawyer that handles that kind of case.

Initial consultations for this kind of thing are usually free. They can help you decide how to move forward with the situation.

The only large debt I can think of is a hospital bill that I got...I couldn't pay all last year because I lost my job. I can pay now though. Hmm..honestly kind of forgot about that bill as it was 2 years ago. Damn it.

Collections wouldn't just move towards suing without first badgering you to death.

Hospitals however will simply never even bother telling you that you owe money, but still. Once sent to collections, they'd bug the shit out of you first before resorting to court. And since they got your address, they would have sent demand letters.

If it's medical bills and they take you to court tell them you want to see the proof of exactly what you owe. If your debt has been sold to a collection agency and they can't provide the exact bill information there's a good chance it'll just be thrown out

Typical collections will send you letters or make phone calls for awhile, not jump right into legal oroceedings.

Eh. I've gotten a lot of phone calls in the past that I usually ignore TBQH. Have no idea when it's a scam person calling, and something actually important.

If you owe a large hospital bill and have been ignoring calls from collections, it is entirely possible they want to take you to court.

You need to contact an attorney to help you get this taken care of. Otherwise, you can have a lien placed on your paycheck.

Or worst-case scenario, the Sheriffs can come and take possession of your property equal to what you owe.

Oftentimes, collection agencies are willing to take a settlement on debt, sometimes as much as fifty percent. But you need to get in contact with an attorney.

DO NOT go to a debt settlement company. They are only out for your money. They will sometimes take as much as fifty cents on every dollar you pay toward a debt.

Its entirely possible that Wells Fargo doesnt even own the debt anymore. They most likely sold it to a debt collection attorney.

If you owe $2000 or more, it is worth it to them to simply get a judgment against you - especially if you own things outright like a boat or car.

Continuing to ignore this will cost you in the long run. See an attorney.
