I really, really liked Gentoo until it became impossible for me to update because of package conflicts.
So I'd have to say Debian is my current favorite Also MATE is objectively the best DE for programming and schoolwork. --- 2deep4u 7deep9all ... Copied to Clipboard!

I had to install Gentoo before for a job interview. It was rough considering I don't mess with Linux too much outside of the occasional Ubuntu and Knoppix stuff. I liked the idea though and plan to install Arch Linux to get a better feel for the Linux CLI.

I used Fedora just to access the homework system at my school but that was it. I'm gonna eventually start using Kali to get into penetration testing and hopefully get certified within the next 3 years --- Roll Tide & Go Irish ... Copied to Clipboard!

Is mint still a thing? Yes, it's really popular still, but it's insecure I'm pretty sure. --- 2deep4u 7deep9all ... Copied to Clipboard!

The "support" that comes with Red Hat means nothing if you have a good Linux sys admin team. My job interview wasn't really to test my Linux skills anyway. It was more a test of my research and discovery skills. Presenting me with a project that I had no knowledge of to see if I had the intuitive to figure it out.
