You don't think that it would smell like that if my roommate was secretly smoking a hookah in his room, do you? I'd smell like flavored tobacco if that was the case, right?

This is like... It's hard to describe, kind of like burning hair but not exactly. Not burning wood either.

I'm thinking could it be the coal that I'm smelling?

Only other thing I can think of is because it's so damn cold, the furnace was going like non-stop all night and something is burning in there? It's like the smell of a hair dryer.
