From my experience at gym's, most modern gym rat girls consider 31 MPH cardio so no.

No they're Chadette's. Aside from partying/sex and maybe a job if they're lucky, lifting and cardio are the only things they can do.

Plus 'burning calories' isn't the point of the exercise. That's not cardio.

If all you care about is calories, just stay at home on your couch and skip the third bag of cheetos while you're watching Netflix.

Also, if this were true, everyone and every animal would run everywhere they go all the time.

Really stop to think about it. There's a reason normal mode of travel is walking. Because it's efficient. It uses less energy.

I do laugh when I see Facebook posts where they take a picture of their treadmill stats and say they had a great workout today and they did a mile in 3 hours.

I mean it's kind of a pointless exercise if all you're doing is consuming calories so that you can spend extra time later tediously burning them off...

Just don't consume the calories in the first place. Consume the amount you need.

Or... You can do both. Or! You might like to eat, and someone who wants to lose weight but still eat, can do that with cardio.

No, you can't do both. Well, there's no reason to, at least.

I know. I am embarrassed at my mile in 14 minutes, and thats after almost 2 hours of heavy weightlifting.
