The big problem with making it so that "all" insults are a violation is that it's ultimately up to the discretion of a mod whether a given group or person is deserving of ridicule. If a mod secretly agrees with the insult, they're not gonna fucking enforce it.

Like I bet you if I posted something like "Yeah my sister drinks her own pee because reasons." and someone comments back saying "Bro that's disgusting.", I fucking guarantee that no moderation will come of that because mods aren't gonna want to defend something icky that they don't morally support.

In this case specifically, I don't have any negative modding reputation that I know of, and the other person had someone else respond to that troll post with "shut the fuck up already" so I assumed they're notorious on that board.
The topic was me asking for spoiler-free insight on how long the post game is in Pokemon USUM and said troll responded with a super hostile tone in the second reply. After i asked why he was being defensive and tried to clear it up, he posted that dopey-ass response.

As of this morning, it's still up. So we'll see, lol.

Regarding the stuff I posted before about marking someone, I will give credit, the dude was given a notified NKL as of today.

I still do think stuff like that shouldn't be moddable though. Let people fend for themselves. (I realize the irony since I was the one who marked it, but I only did it for the sake of proving points)

A mod informed me that it's a warnable offense to call someone ignorant, learned that the hard way. I also got modded for insulting hypothetical people (tho I did call these imaginary people basic beta bitches, which is just uncalled for).

These new rules have been pretty lame.

I think that they should include a feature where you can apologize and the person you insulted can grant you mercy. Or just laugh if you deserve it lol.

'eyyyyy got hit with a mod already under new rule because I used a word people called Italian Americans like 70 years ago that fucking nobody uses anymore except Italian Americans when describing themselves, which I was doing.

Ironically I made a fucking thread about a month ago asking if that word was allowed and it remained up, never got modded.

I think it's partly due to some legal shenanigans from users. I think it's been said (rumored) that Tails82 has caused them to have to codify some stuff that functionally protects trolls.
