Retail. At a pretty laidback place compared to a ton of retail locations, so it isn't particularly soul-draining.

I want to become an author.

Dark/horror fantasy.

Take Lovecraft-esque concepts (though not completely similar - you won't see Cthulhu's cousin Mhulhu in my work) and push them back in time to a sword-and-board type of world.

I just graduated with a degree in motorsport engineering. But recently my life got turned upside down and I've totally lost interest. Part of me says "go get the job, it's an awesome job with awesome pay, you'll be set for life", but the other part of me says "no, don't waste the best years of your life in a factory, go enjoy the prime of your life, you'll never get another chance"

Meanwhile, I'm floating somewhere in the middle and haven't made a decision yet ._.

Right now I work part time at a toy store, which I could honestly work at forever cause I love it so much.
But I'm studying to be a teacher, and maybe could do that for like 10 - 15 years, tops, lol >_>

Pharmacist.

What I love about it is that I work as a specialist in the hospital and not your neighborhood retail pharmacy. I like seeing and treating patients in the acute setting as well as utilizing medications from various administration routes when compared to the retail setting.

I graduate medical school in 16 months, going into anesthesiology. I'm stoked, tbh. It's been my dream to be a doctor and anesthesia is a great mix of working with my mind and my hands, just the right amount of patient contact, and minimal paperwork relative to other specialties. Plus the OR is just a fun environment.

Congrats! I've only known one anesthesiologist, he kept the monkeys sedated during surgery back when i was in a monkey lab. But he was a pretty cool dude. I dunno what his training was, but I presume it was different =P.

Armed Security, weekdays are busy, weekend is lax, great money, lots of benefits, and getting certifications gets me a bigger paycheck.

Not leaving this career unless I am offered a much better job with higher pay, more benefits, and more vacation days.

Thanks! Their training was probably pretty similar. Vet students do 4 years, then I think they have a residency too?

Most anesthesiologists I've met seem very chill compared to the typical neurotic type A personality doctor. I think it's from the second hand high from the N2O

Datacenter Engineer

Laid back job with only a few responsibilities. Telecommute roughly 60% of the time.

Looking to move into the Amazon Web Services space so I can work from home 100% of the time while hitting that 6 figure salary level.
