I mean that's great and all, but do you really want to be 65 years old with $1M+ in retirement? You're going to wonder what to do with all this money at that age... I mean you can't really have fun anymore. Sure you can go ahead and buy a house but shit.... Now what?

This is why I think people should set aside a modest amount into their retirement and enjoy the rest during their younger years.

You don't get unlimited free money once you retire? Hoping SS is there for you while you both circle the drain is moronic, and traveling costs a lot of money?

Two biggest believes right now.

Worry about the now and enjoy it to it's fullest.

OR

Worry about the 50+ age save your money so you have an easy life as an old person...

I prefer to save my money so I have an easy life as an old person...

I ponder that question a lot. I'm going into teaching and I absolutely love travelling. Even when you factor in all the development meetings and such over the summer, there's still plenty of time to travel. But I could also pick up another job in that downtime and save money. What to do, what to do.

It's CE. You could be 95 and they would question why you are spending money and not saving

Assuming you live long enough to become an old person.

And if you don't, the money goes to your spouse or your kids. What's wrong with that?

And if you are single with no kids?
