Why aren't you doing that? Why aren't you going to the hospitals and ask them what they did to save that person so they wouldn't die in the hospital?

Because hospitals have earned a benefit of the doubt that they are taking every effort to ensure their patients receive the best possible care, while prisons haven't. His would not be the first jail where inmates were improperly treated.

People living in jails are assumed to be the state's responsibility in a way that people living on the street are not in the US.
