Or do you think they are telling the truth?

Here is the kitten video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqIMElI33kU

According to the owners the kitten crawled out of its box and then they started filming it.

However cat owners across the internet are claiming that they intentionally took the kitten out of the box and placed it in the middle of the floor just to film it to make a popular internet video and get attention.

What do you think CE, do you think these are honest people who just want to share something cute? Or are they cruel and sinister attention whores who feed on the naive?

How cynical are you?

Probably they took it out of the box

At 3 days kittens can barely walk 2 feet on their own, and the mom.cat would not allow them to do so anyways unless she wasnt there.

Nice kitties tho

I don't even think it's that cute, and I love cats.

I also assume the cat's mother was in the box, and I have trouble believing that a kitten - who can barely see on the third day if at all - managed to find its way out of the box unaided.

Throw that into the mix with the fact that the cat is very clearly distressed and probably cold, possibly hungry, and yeah, I think that was pretty bad of them.

According to the owner the box was actually the mother's demand. They got her a proper cat bed but she ignored it and refused to leave the box.

I dont think the kitten could have gotten that far away on its own without the mom noticing. Yes, I think they did it on purpose and yes I think its cruel.

I don't understand people that legitimately think like this. Y'all can be this upset about a kitten but when it comes to an actual human child is suffering you guys just don't care lmfao. Shut the fuck up.

so i mean, i've bred dogs, not cats, and i can attest that some of them can wander off really early. it's not a bad thing for them to get the exercise. i can't say for sure if cats are different, but there it is.

i would also say that it's more jarring to the mom to remove a kitten than it is for one to wander off. assuming by my experience with dogs.

as hard as i want to say that it doesn't seem like the kitten was hand-removed: it seems sluggish, like we caught it waking up. and it crying seems to wake up another kitten.

what if it's for youtube views?

You don't think it's cruel to seperate a 3 from it's mom and distress it in the cold while it flails around helplessly, blind and scared, squealing for help in distress?

That's just dumb.

It's not the kids fault. He's like 20 months old.

The mom is at fault, putting them together, laughing as the baby is distressed and then telling the baby to hit the cat.

Blaming the baby for that is crazy

The kid was crying because the parents bullied him into doing that, he didn't want to smack the kitten. IIRC CPS took their kid.

I bet both the baby and the cat were over it and having fun together within the hour.

Also there would be blood if that cat wanted to hurt the kid. It was playing until it got smacked in the face and even then it showed restraint and just shoved him.

lol

i don't mean in terms of ethics or anything cool like that, i mean just you're not a shitposter normally, how about define a stance instead of just echo.

i mean, i think it's cruel that an animal is slaughtered for food. i don't think it's cruel to have a mother cat move her kitten a few feet.

but in this instance the mother cat isn't moving the kitten.

for the first video, I do think they the humans moved the kitten. and I think it was cruel to do that. "just a few feet" is very far for a 3 day old kitten. and they can't see and have no idea what is going on and they are cold and scared. it was heartbreaking to watch that until the mom showed up to save the day

as for the baby video, right when I realized what the baby was about to do, I actually said outloud "don't!" and then "no!" when he it the cat. I don't like seeing cats hit. at least the baby wasn't very strong

Kitten gets moved no less than 4 feet from the cardboard box they're nesting in. It was probably done by humans and for views, but won't someone stop to think about how this traumatic experience is going to affect the kitten as it reaches adolescence???

Like you guys are so fucking dumb. It's an animal. It wasn't being kept away from the mother and swung by it's legs or literally anything that could harm it. Buts it's so cruel!!!!!
