yes. that's one of the ancient laws. I dont know the basis behind it. alot of the really old hebrew laws are things that make no sense in the modern world.

The "don't wear cloth of two different fabrics" bit was more like "don't impersonate the clergy" because they were the only ones allowed to wear them.

I listened to a sermon series once on how certain principles can be gleaned from OT laws that seem irrelevant today. Some of them were simply to show distinction between Israel and other nations, I think.
