it will have to keep happening. the effects of the cut keep happening and people will sour on it very rapidly if it's all one time

companies don't want to lose the cut and will throw whatever % of it they have to at workers to prevent a blue wave that takes it away from them

Their paycheck won't change either. A one time 1000 dollar bonus is peanuts to a full time employee. Not to mention that those bonuses are taxed at a much higher rate than standard income.


The withholding is higher but it's taxed like all ordinary income is depending on your tax rate.

You're forgetting that more investment in jobs --> more companies competing with each other for labor --> wages go up because companies are bidding against each other for labor
