people still play it. its dying though. they don't give it much support anymore. some people are not sure there will be another expansion. and I predict the game might not survive the next 5 years. but who knows.

Im pretty sure that the community has setup their own servers unless Im thinking of another SW MMO.

empire and republic you mean. the morality is independent of your faction. you can be a light side imperial or a dark side republican.

Most people play it for the story, which is quite good. Agent and Jedi Knight storylines are the best.

Game is a p2w microtransaction lootbox fest. Going FTP and enabling the cash shop killed the game.

Half of the games content is locked behind paywalls. The stories are good though

I decided to pick it up again after years and play one of the DLC. It was insultingly easy. I was facerolling through every single fight, even bosses, without having to use a healing item.

And they give you a shit ton of healing items to pick up! To this day I have no idea if that was supposed to be a joke. Haven't touched the game since.

yea they made it easier. the companions are over powered. also now every companion can do any role. it used to be that each companion has a specific type like tank or healer. now you can set anyone to any role. and if you just set whoever to healer, you are basically immortal

you should try WoW now. they recently did a patch that did the opposite of what happened to Old Republic. now its harder. some people are whining about it.

Ehhh I feel like the insultingly easiness would bug me. One of the main issues I had with KotOR 2 was how easy the endgame became

I still play, but most of the team has been moved to Mass Effect: Destiny, in order to make it the most microtransactionist of microtransaction filled microtransactions that ever microtransactioned. If you do play, don't play Sorcerer/Sage, they have been nerfed in to uselessness.
