Skye Reynolds 01/24/18 10:57:28 PM #7:	It's funny, I was thinking about that film earlier today. The big problem with it was simply that it was a sequel to a movie that had never been made. Cobra is sort of a cross between Dirty Harry and the Punisher. He's a tough as nails cop who's given free reign to handle violent crime his way. But despite an opening narration discussing crime statistics, and ending on a particularly sinister note of rape frequency (which one would assume was foreshadowing), all of the crimes in the film are just mindless killings perpetrated by members of a cult. That's a type of crime, sure, but fascists psychotics trying to bring about a new order are not the first thing you think about when it comes to crime. The first film should've had him fighting gang members, drug pushers, and a white collar rapist who thinks his wealth will protect him.
