Darmik 01/22/18 5:16:54 PM #4:	The less you know the better really. If you want an 'efficient' playthrough you should know there are 3 endings. Pacifist, Neutral and Genocide. You can experience the Neutral ending during the pacifist route since the Pacifist stuff takes place after that ending. You can avoid killing everyone entirely and this is how you get the Pacifist ending. So if you want the Pacifist ending on your first playthrough you can experiment during fights and figure out ways to spare them. If you kill an enemy accidentally you can always reload a save. It's not locked in until you use a savepoint. Or you can just do whatever.
