It showed a character using the force to badass effect, and then after that moment of sweet tension when he walks away the bolt flies off for a humorous pay off. GOAT tier SW moment tbh. Considering she's never had any Jedi training, you weren't gonna see her in any lightsaber battles anytime soon. I thought this was a cool way to remind you "hey, that's right, she can use the force". If nothing else, it was a nice send-off to her character that likely won't be in Ep 9. --- Congratulations!
